What is Civil Service?
Established by Law No. 64 March 6, 2001 the Civil Service aims to compete, as an alternative to compulsory draft, to defend the mother country with non-military means and activities; to support the realization of the constitutional principles of social solidarity; to promote solidarity and cooperation, both nationally and internationally, with particular regard to the protection of social rights, personal services and education and peace between peoples; to participate in the safeguard and wardship of the Nation. But, above all, Civil Service is especially the opportunity, set available to young people aged from 18 to 28 years, to devote a year of their life in favour of solidarity activities as a commitment to the entire national community, a commitment for the good of all and of each and then as the value of research of peace.
Our idea is that the Civil Service - which is an experience of continuous training on the field and of active participation to express their capabilities and share responsibilities through - contributes to civic education, social and professional integration of young people.
