Modavi has affected the activities of civil-health reconstruction in Afghanistan. During the first inspections – conducted with the head of the Department of Health of the province of Heart, Dr Raouf Niazi and the hospital director, Dr M. Arif Shahram – has been formally requested an intervention aimed at structuring a department of dentistry in the hospital of Heart.

In 2006 began the collaboration between Modavi and the Division “J9” of the Italian Joint Operational Headquarters stationed in Rome; Colonel Roberto Milano has followed the project “Unity Dental Modavi” and referred Modavi in the transaction.

After sending two volunteers, the dentist Giorgio Cimetto and the technician Renzo Lecioni, the dental unit was put in efficiency in perfect condition and with help of volunteers, the hospital staff has the ability to use it.
